Advertising in Aussiecon 4 publications

Advertising opportunities are available in our progress reports and in our glossy, bound souvenir booklet to be distributed to attendees.

Convention Registration Pack

More than 2,500 attendees are expected at Aussiecon 4. All members receive the Registration Pack. Opportunities to include inserts into the pack are available. Contact us to make sure your postcard, advertising material or other items are included.

Advert Slides before Ceremonies

Opening Ceremony, Masquerade, Hugo Awards, Closing Ceremony
Each session will have an audience of a minimum of 1500 people and maybe more at the Hugos.
Each static slide will be on screen for 12 seconds at a time, probably 4-5 showings of each at each session.
Rate: A$250 per slide
Final copy must be received by August 16.

Pocket Program Book

Black and white only, A6 size, landscape. Accepting full page ads only.
(artwork size: w-12.1 cm, h-9.5 cm) A$250 per page.
Back cover, inside front cover, inside back cover still available. Same price. First one to book gets their choice.
Ad bookings and receipt of copy will close: August 16.

Advertising and Artwork Specifications (pdf)

Ad sizes

  • quarter page (130mm high X 85mm wide)
  • half page (130mm high X 180mm wide)
  • full page (267mm high X 180mm wide)

Email delivery

  • Recommended that files are compressed (either .sit or .zip format)
  • The total for attached files in an e-mail can not be more than 7MB in size
  • E-mail to: editor@aussiecon4.org.au

Supported File Formats

  • Adobe PDF (Preferred) (High resolution/Print Ready/Fonts Embedded)
  • High Resolution JPEG or TIFF file (300dpi at 100% of original artwork size)

Non-Acceptable File Format

  • Microsoft Word files
  • Low resolution image files (JPEG/TIF/GIF, etc)

Fonts

  • Always use real typeface. Do not use application to apply styles (i.e. Bold, Italic, Outline, Shadow, Underline)
  • Include all supporting files that are placed (linked) in the files.

Colour

  • Ads that are in colour will need to be CMYK. No PMS colours will be accepted. All other ads will be grey scale (black and white)

Bleed

  • Ads do not bleed

Media

  • Email, CD, DVD
  • Unless requested, CDs or DVDs will not be returned.
